Last night, world-renowned supermodels, stars of the music industry and Hollywood’s darlings landed in New York for the annual AmfAR Gala.
Launched in 1998, the charity event honours those who have made a considerable contribution to the fight against HIV and Aids.
And the star-studded event never fails to deliver on the fashion front as stars don their best garments for the ceremony. And this year most certainly didn't disappoint.
Stars made a case for the thigh-split while others coveted this season's most desirable hue.
We've rounded up five of the greatest sartorial moments from last night’s event below:
Diane Kruger
Diane Kruger opted for a chic-meets-grunge get-up as she donned a panelled Versace number. The actress teamed the sequinned look with cropped waves and a smokey eye.
Scarlett Johansson
One actress to steer clear of the highly coveted awards gown was Scarlett Johansson who instead opted for a sleek tux-style suit with metallic lapels. She accessorised the chic aesthetic with Harry Winston jewels and a box clutch.
Naomi Campbell
Naomi Campbell made a sartorial case for the thigh-split this season with a sequinned Versace dress. The '90s supermodel also demonstrated how to don this season’s most sought after hue as she opted for a soft peach shade. She accessorised the dress with complimentary gold heels and co-ordinating jewels.
Chloe Sevigny
Forever our style muse, Chloe Sevigny, just reminded us why we desire to imitate her wardrobe so much. The actress gave us sartorial lessons in ‘90s accessorising as she donned a velvet choker and beaded clutch to the awards ceremony last night. With middle-parted hair and minimal makeup, the former model gave us major sartorial envy in a red mini Miu Miu number. Just look how sweet the ribboned shoulders are. Swoon.
Zoë Kravitz
Zoë Kravitz is fast becoming fashion’s newest darling. And for good reason. Last night, the model donned a sheer Versace gown with co-ordinating jewelled open-toe shoes. We’re about to make a bold statement here, but this may just be one of our favourite looks so far this year.
