Oscars 2015: See All Of The Best (And Worst) Dresses

Last night was a little thing called the Oscars and the biggest names in Hollywood hit the red carpet in some jaw-dropping gowns.

You can always rely on Emma Stone to do something different on the red carpet, and she wore a lime green Elie Saab sequin number with a thigh high slit, which she paired with a clashing red lip. We're inclined to think she's one of the only people alive who could pull this off so effortlessly.

Speaking of the Saab, Jennifer Lopez surprised by, well, covering up in a frothy tulle gown. But Jennifer had ashock on the red carpet when Luciana Duvall wore an almost identical gown.

Rosamund Pike is certainly a contender for the title of best dressed - she wore a red-carpet red strapless Givenchy gown with a nipped in waist and a thigh high slit revealing a matching red shoe. Another Brit winning on the red carpet was Keira Knightley who chose (as we predicted) one of the Valentino Couture Spring Summer 2015 whimsical nude tulle gowns with floral detailing and handwritten scribbles. We LOVE.

Felicity Jones chose to represent the Brits by wearing an ice blue gown with pearl embellishment by Alexander McQueen. Speaking of pearls, Lupita Nyong'o wore a custom Calvin Klein Collection gown which was drenched in 6,000 hand-sewn pearls. Our only question is, how comfy can it be to sit on pearls for a long ceremony?

In other red carpet news, Sienna Miller was the first to wear Peter Copping's first collection for Oscar de la Renta which showed in New York just last week. She wore a classic navy gown with bow detailing on the neckline and black lace inserts on the skirt.

Then we come, last but not least, to Lady Gaga. This could well be the most memed ensemble, ever. Lady Gaga wore custom Azzedine Alaïa - a designer who has never designed pieces specifically for the awards ceremony before. But it's her red leather marigold-esque gloves which are making this look viral.

We'll be bringing you every single look as it hits the red carpet in the gallery above...
