Meet The Unsung Hero Of The Met Gala: The Man Crouching Behind Beyonce

You have to hand it to Beyonce for her commitment to creating a 'moment' at the Met Gala. She turned up an hour after the red carpet had finished, in just a sparkling of some well-placed sequins.

This nearly-naked gown is the work of Givenchy, who have created look-at-that-train gowns for Beyonce for the last four Met Galas. Although Beyonce did put in a lot of muscle into those poses, there is one unsung hero in her years of Met steppin.'

We are talking about the man you see crouching behind her. And what a loyal skirt-adjuster he is.

For the past four years there has been one chap trusted to adjust Beyonce's Givenchy skirt as she walks - that is her long-time stylist Ty Hunter. They started working together when Bey was just SIXTEEN and he has been right behind her every step of the way.

"Beyoncé has taught me to be honest," Ty has said of his A list client. "If she asks for your opinion, you have to tell her the truth, and we do. If something doesn't look right, we're like, 'Girl, you gotta change that.' That's how she's gone as far as she has, because she doesn't have 'yes' people. And because she's at the top and because she's Beyoncé, people put that diva stamp on her. But she's just a humble Southern girl. She's silly and we have fun, but people don't get to see that side of her. You hear about the dramatic stories people make up, but she's very cool and down to earth—the whole team is, actually. When people meet us they kind of trip out because they expect us to come in and be divas and we're so not like that."
