Emma Stone might have gone home with a SAG award for her performance in Birdman, but she also bagged the award for best GIF. There has been a Jennifer Lawrence shaped hole in awards season this year - no tumbles, no wild expressions, no accidents in Dior. But Emma Stone has brought some J-Lawness to the proceedings, tripping up Naomi Watts on stage.
The actresses were both on stage accepting the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture award for* Birdman*. When Naomi made her move towards the microphone, she tripped over Emma Stone's black sheer Dior skirt. Naomi, who looked elegant in navy Balenciaga, shreaked "Oh my god, wow!"
What followed was the best awards season meme (so far). Emma pulled a J Law, tucking her dress behind her back as she mouthed with wide-eyes "I'm sorry! It was my fault!" Watch the moment below...
