Award season 2015 is getting well into its groove now as the Screen Actor's Guild doled out their gongs for the year's worthy performances at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. And it looked like both Julianne Moore and Eddie Redmayne could both be looking at a hat-trick if this is the predictor for the Oscars that it usually is.
But it wasn't just the leading actors who stayed the same as at the Golden Globes. With best supporting nods going to Patricia Arquette and J.K. Simmons, and best film cast performance going to Birdman, it's a good sign that all of them will be able to replicate the success again at the Academy.
But unlike the Oscars, the SAGs (like the Globes) are also a jolly for the telly types we spend our everyday lives with. Special mention went to Downton for best drama cast performance, and Orange is the New Black, which came home with two aquamarine figurines, thanks to Uzo Aduba who got Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series* *for her amazing portrayal of Suzanne Warren, aka Crazy Eyes.
