Following the lead of the Golden Globes, last night's Critics Choice Awards saw Brie Larson and Leonardo DiCaprio score the biggest prizes. Plus, our favourite newcomer - the adorable Jacob Tremblay - was named Best Young Actor for his role as Brie's son in *Room, and Alicia Vikander scored the Best Supporting Actress prize for The Danish Girl, *trumping Globe winner, Kate Winslet.
But as well as plenty of moving acceptance speeches from the winners, the night saw plenty of glorious gowns make their way down the blue carpet. Alicia flew the flag for Brit fashion in an exquisite Mary Katrantzou gown, while Amy Schumer continued to stick to sleek awards season style in a white Calvin Klein Collection slip dress.

Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard hit headlines at the Globes for eschewing designer fittings in favour of buying her own gown straight off the rack, citing the lack of US size 6 dresses (UK 10) as her reason for taking fashion into her own hands. And she followed suit for Critics' Choice, wearing a Balmain dress she purchased from department store Neiman Marcus. Naturally, she looked stunning in it.
It was also the first time we saw Hayden Panettiere on the red carpet since she checked in for treatment for post-partum depression. She looked glowing and gorgeous as ever as she arrived with her* Nashville* co-star Jonathan Jackson.
This has us all the more excited for what the stars will break out for the Oscars. Watch this space.
