Congrats! Zooey Deschanel Confirms She’s Pregnant With Her First Child

Keira Knightley is pregnant; Kate Middleton is pregnant; Beyoncemay or may not be pregnant. Now we can add actress Zooey Deschanel to the list, as she has confirmed today that she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, producer Jacob Pechenik.

The New Girl actress told People: “Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited to meet our little one." Girl or boy, there's one thing we know, we can expect the most adorkable baby clothes in all the land!

Her sister, Emily Deschanel, is also expecting her second child with her husband David Hornsby. Did someone say joint baby shower?

Zooey and Jacob started dating last year and made their first public outing together in August at the Emmy's red carpet.

Zooey was previously married to musician Ben Gibbard and their divorce was completed in 2012. She has previously said in an interview: "When I was married, that was the first thing people wanted to know. Like every woman is dying to give birth! I don’t think so. Nobody asks a guy that. And you go into a supermarket and every tabloid is like, ‘Pregnant and Alone!’ Stuck in this 1950s ideal of how a woman should live her life. That’s not something that defines me at all.'”
