Right now we’re wondering how on earth a baby is going to be written into the storyline of New Girl, or if they might just do a *Sex And The City (*season 5) and shoot an entire season in six episodes from the waist-up, because Zooey Deschanel (well, it wasn’t going to be one of the guys, was it?) is pregnant!
She confirmed to People that her and boyfriend Jacob Pechenik are expecting their first child: ‘Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited to meet our little one.’
Time magazine already hopes it’s a girl not only because of those inevitable 'New Girl' headlines, but because, ‘just image the adorable babydoll dresses mini Zooey Deschanel could rock’ – and in the mean time, Zooey will probably wear a babydolll or two of her own, as, well, they’re pretty wafty and spacious for a growing bump, aren’t they?
Our big hope for this baby? That Zooey gives it a name half as ridiculous as her own.
