No, Zayn Hasn't Been Dropped By Simon Cowell, Directioners Are Done With Your Drama

It’s been a tumultuous week for the poor old Directioners. Earlier, they had to deal with reports that Louis Tomlinson is set to become a dad after supposedly getting LA stylist Briana Jungwirth pregnant and NOW they’re waking up to the news that Simon Cowell’s eponymous record label Syco is dropping former band member Zayn Malik from its roster.

A source has told The Sun that ‘It’s a big move for Simon because Zayn could have a very successful solo career, but his priority absolutely remains the band and this is a big statement on his part.’

The source then goes on to say that Zayn will stay at Sony (who own Syco), he’ll just move to another label within the company.

However, Syco this morning has said that the rumour isn’t true, telling The Mirror that ‘Zayn is still at Syco.’

As for the Directioners, they’re well over all this nonsense. And hey, who can blame them. Exams are over, it’s the last day of school, and they’ve got six glorious weeks of summer to look forward to. Who’s got time for boring grown-ups spreading boring rumours. Not them, that’s for sure.

Enjoy your summer Directioners!
