Kanye West might be known for making music and designing groovy trainers, but now, he’s aiming to tackle Los Angeles housing problem. Earlier this year, after the rapper failed to secure permits for his Yeezy ‘housing experiment’, the project was torn down - butKim Kardashian{
Kim told The Sunday Times magazine that we have more to expect from the rapper, who is far from giving up his DIY SOS dream. ‘You should see what he’s working on now,’ the KKW beauty founder said. ‘He’s fascinated with buildings and homes. He wants to do low-income housing and have the design be elevated: simple, cool and affordable. He really supports [the American artist] James Turrell and they’re working on stuff together that will be exciting. He’s building the community.’
Originally, the musician had built three prototype domed structures on his 300-acre estate in Calabasas. However, TMZ reported that the structures were taken down following orders imposed by the LA County Department of Public Works. His new venture doesn’t mean he is going to turn his back on designing shoes, though, as it is being reported that the is trying to build his very own Adidas Yeezy 'Sample Lab' in Wyoming, which would employ 10-20 people.
Also, in the same chat, Kim revealed - like Elle Woods - that her sights are firmly set on graduating from law school and that, one day, she will become a lawyer full time. 'I want to go to law school, I want to help people,' she said. 'Let me work for the next 10 years and build up my brands, and then one day, in 10 years, just give up being Kim K and become a lawyer. And now I’ve come to a realisation about what care about. No publicist would have ever told me to get into prison reform.’
The couple must have a few resolutions set for 2020.
