Prince William and Harry are two of the most photographed men on the planet, but even they have snaps that have been cast to the wayside over the years.
We've trawled through the archives to dust off some classic childhood images of the young heirs and other members of the royal family - back in the days when they were little, and impossibly cute.
Grab some popcorn and settle in for a trip down memory lane...
Twinning is winning
The infant princes were well ahead of the curve when it came to matching fashion, as this 1989 snap from a summer getaway in Scotland proves.
Ultimate kudos must go to the lads' billowing silk stripe shorts - a tricky look to pull off at the best of times, let alone in unison.
Post box-red sweaters add a dash of nonchalance, and the holiday feel is completed by crisp ankle socks and Start-rite sandals (remember those?).
Harry is clearly at ease with the out-there ensemble, but - judging by his expression - Wills is not entirely sold...
Fresh prince
Only a bandana will do in this distinctly 90s snap of Prince Harry in the ski resort of Klosters, 1995.
We're loving the lurid green ski jacket offset by a bold pop of orange. And the paisley headband lends a smooth dash of finesse.
This is junior ski chic at its mightiest. Will Smith would approve.
A helping hand
Even as a wee one, Prince William was right by his younger brother's side - a steadying hand for when he stumbled.
This sweet photo was taken in the boys' playroom at Kensington Palace. Aged 13 months, Harry is just about getting the hang of this tottering business. And three-year-old Wills is keen to help out.
They're not yet out of nappies but it's reassuring to see the princes are already showcasing a flair for coordinated style - albeit with an individual twist.
William complements his chequered shirt with a pair of smart navy shorts. Harry, true to form, jazzes things up with a snazzy pair of corduroy dungies.
Handbag swagger
Seven-year-old Prince William adds a certain je ne sais quoi to his outfit, courtesy of mum's handbag.
This is one of Wills' early outings to the polo in Windsor, 1989, and he has poise enough to give Pretty Woman a run for her money.
The polo shirt is - well, classic polo - but the jaunty sailor shorts mix things up a little.
As for the structured white tote, let's just say Princess Di was onto a good thing there...
A directional look from the young prince.
Breaking out
The Las Vegas party boy flaunted his penchant for drama early, with this adorable picture from 1988.
The five-year-old royal is proudly dressed as a shepherd for his school Christmas play.
The 70s cheesecloth top is a statement item in itself - and one we could quite easily relish today.
But it's the headdress that really steals the show here, and Harry works it with panache.
Boss of the slopes
Aged just one and a half, Princess Beatrice is clearly in control in this photo from January 1990.
Her dazzling red snowsuit shouts authority, while the contrasting bonnet shows she's unafraid to take a risk.
Quite aside from that, her expression means business too.
The elder daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York is on a family holiday in Klosters.
Flower power supreme
These frocks are every single Laura Ashley dress we wore in the 90s, rolled into one.
Each tell-tale signature of the look is there: the wide, embroidered Peter Pan collars. The pastel hues. The delicate floral prints. Even the matching headband (as far as Beatrice is concerned).
This cute photo was taken at The Royal Windsor Horse Show in May 1992.
Fighting spirit
A young Zara Phillips wears her love for competitive sport on her sleeve, as she cheers on F1 champion Jackie Stewart at a Range Rover race in August 1987.
The six-year-old's mum Princess Anne declined a royal title for her daughter, a decision for which Zara is said to have been forever grateful.
The young royal was a bit of a tomboy, by all accounts. Her mischievous spirit is already in evidence here, and she went onto cause controversy by getting her tongue pierced aged 19 (not a crazy move by most people's standards - but still radical for a member of the royal family).
She also became an award-winning equestrian who was cheered on by crowds of her own in the 2012 Olympics.
