A 30-year-old dog trainer from Texas is such a mega-fan of Jennifer Lawrence, she’s undergone six plastic surgery proceduresto look more like her idol.
The mother of one, named only as ‘Kitty’ by American news network *ABC, said she underwent the painful treatments to look more like the American Hustle*star because she can ‘appreciate that her personality is spunky and fun,’ adding that her ‘body is banging.'
While we can't disagree with Kitty, it doesn't exactly seem like the best reason to undergo extensive surgery. Kitty’s procedures included liposuction to her body and face, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation and fat grafts to her cheeks and buttocks. The total cost was about $25,000 (£15,000) – but should have been more. The surgeon gave Kitty a discount because her 'journey' was going to be featured on TV. (Only in America, hey?)
After facing criticism that she must have been suffering from serious body dysmorphia to change her face and body so extensively, Kitty went on TV to defend herself, saying: "I'm not trying to look like Pamela Anderson here during her Baywatch days. I'm trying to look like a very capable, very personal level-headed female who is an Academy Award winner. I am a strong woman. I am in charge of how I look and I can change that and then change that again if I want.’
And her surgeon Dr Franklin Rose also insists that Kitty was in sound mind when she asked for the procedures. ‘By this point in my career, after evaluating 14-15,000 new consultations, you can tell very quickly within a matter of a minute if the patient is well adjusted or not well adjusted for whatever the procedure they might present,’ he said.
One person who’s not afraid to admit he's not entirely convinced by the whole thing is Kitty's husband Eric, who didn’t think his wife needed surgery at all. Plus he's not totally sold on J Law either: He says: ‘Jennifer Lawrence isn't a celebrity I have particularly strong feelings about one way or another.’ That's unfortunate, really, because it look’s like he’s going to be living with a version of her from now on.
