The News Of The World phone hacking scandal reached shocking new heights after it was revealed that the royal editor of the now-closed tabloid admitted he hacked Kate Middleton’s phone 155 times. That's insane!

Clive Goodman said he never revealed this in court before because he’d never been asked. He also said he’d listened in on Prince William and Harry’s phone calls dozens of times. Goodman said he started hacking Kate’s phone when she got serious with William around 2005 (the picture above was taken in 2007).

‘I have been as open and honest about hacking as I can be, but nobody has asked me any questions about this before,’ Goodman said in court. Er, OK.

The journalist is on trial alongside a few former staff members at the paper who tapped the phones of a number of celebrities. He was already jailed in 2007 for listening in on royal aides calls, reports the Associated Press.
