A Brief Pictorial History Of Winona Ryder And Keanu Reeves Through The Ages

While our love of '90s fashion ebbs and flows, our love of '90s films and TV shows certainly doesn't wane. The same with our obsession with Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves{ =nofollow}, which has been a point of obsession for years now.

The pair, who’ve previously starred together in Bram Stoker’s Dracula (in 1992) and appeared alongside one another in cartoon form in A Scanner Darkly (2006), reunited for Destination Wedding in 2018, a rom-com about two single, cynical strangers who meet at a mutual friend’s wedding in California’s wine country. But it wasn't so much the film itself that got everyone talking. Instead, it was Winona and Keanu's truly delightful press tour, during which the duo have simply been came across as two old friends who were very pleased to be working together again after all this time.

Perhaps the best revelation to come from their charm offensive, is the fact that the two actors might actually have been married for over twenty years. When their Dracula characters tied the knot on-screen, Winona explained, ‘Francis [Ford Coppola, the director] used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So I think we’re married.’ And just to add to the whole saga, the ceremony took place 'on Valentine's Day.'

Even their former director seems to be rooting for them: Coppola has since leapt to confirm their story, telling The Guardian that 'when we were all done, we realised that Keanu and Winona really are married as a result of this scene and this ceremony.' Pair this with a viral interview clip doing the rounds in which both stars admit to having had 'healthy crush[es]' on one another when working together previously, and our hearts are ready to explode. Here's to Hollywood making endless Winona-Keanu movies: we'll be first in the ticket queue.
