Before Zayn Malik quit One Direction, fans of the band would crowd around their likenesses at Madame Tussauds and gasp, cuddling the plastic versions of the boys and getting really excited about it all. After Zayn left? Staff at the museum were having to hand out tissues to weepy fans, so sad to see that some shiny imitations of the boyband were the best thing they were going to get to what things were like before…
Which makes us wonder how tween sensations Zoella and Alfie Deyes – both YouTube vloggers, duh – are going to fare when the waxworks being made of them make it to the museum in London.
Zoella’s definitely excited at the prospect, as she tweeted, ‘So @PointlessBlog & I have been asked to be made into wax figures for Madame Tussaudes! BEYOND EXCITED. Such a cool opportunity :)’
And boyfriend Alfie tweeted, ‘ZOE & I ARE GOING TO BE WAX FIGURES IN MADAME TUSSAUDS!!’
The pair will kindly donate their own clothes to be worn by the waxworks, and their likenesses will be set on a bed in a room based on their spare room in the flat they share in Brighton. They won’t be doing anything naughty, though, they’ll be uploading images to their vlog!
The waxworks will be on display at Madame Tussauds later this year, reports the BBC.
