The extensive list of celebrities that could be called on for the Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs trial grows longer each day. The music mogul is facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution and faces multiple allegations of sexual and physical assault as well as abuse. He has denied all charges and is pleading not guilty in court.
So far, his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura has already taken the stand as well as rapper Kid Cudi, Diddy’s former personal assistant David James, and an escort called Daniel Phillip.
Also mentioned in the trial are Michael B. Jordan, Britney Spears and Usher- although they have not been accused of any wrongdoing and this does not necessarily mean that they will appear in court.
Why was Lauren London mentioned in the Diddy trial?
While Lauren has not yet taken the stand at Diddy’s trial- and in fact might never be called on- she has reportedly been mentioned in association with the case. When the trial began in early May, potential jurors were given a list of names and places tied to Diddy to exclude anyone with close connections to the music mogul’s network. On that list was Lauren London’s name, although it’s not yet clear where she would fit into the case. There is no suggestion that Lauren was involved in the alleged crimes, nor is she accused of any wrongdoing.
How does Lauren London know Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs?
Lauren London is reportedly a longtime friend of Cassie Ventura and has known Diddy for years. Back in 2022, Lauren revealed that Diddy helped her get through the loss of her longtime boyfriend Nipsey Hussle. Nipsey Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Joseph Asghedom, was fatally shot in Los Angeles in March 2019. Lauren had been dating the rapper since 2013, and the pair shared a young son called Kross. Shortly after his death, a man called Eric R. Holder Jr was found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to 60 years to life in prison.
After his passing Lauren struggled with her grief, revealing to the Angie Martinez IRL podcast that she hit a particular rough patch the day of his funeral. She said, ‘I just felt like it was surreal…I didn't even want to get dressed. I was going to wear sweats… Puff pulled me aside and was like, “Look, boo. You have shown everybody what it looks like to hold a man down and to love him. Now show them what it looks like when it all crumbles. That's your responsibility.”’
She added, ‘He was like, “Show up with your head up.”’
‘I feel like my kids deserve happiness. My kids deserve a very happy mom. They deserve joy. Why would I rob them of that? So that gets me up.’
