They met again in May 2017 when she played Ivanka Trump in SNL’s season finale, with a source saying that they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. By September, they were properly together. ‘She’s wonderful. She’s pretty cool, it’s hard to have a lot of complaints. She’s pretty awesome. I’m very happy. I feel very lucky,’ he said.
Scarlett and Colin made their public debut as a couple at the American Museum of Natural History gala in November. They got engaged two years later, in May 2019. ‘He killed it. He’s very charming and very thoughtful and romantic. But yeah, I was surprised,’ she said of his proposal. ‘Even if you kind of imagine what that moment’s going to be like, it’s still a beautiful moment. I think, more than anything, when someone tells you they want to spend their life with you, that’s a lovely, special thing.’
