TV presenter Narinder Kaur has found herself back in the headlines after Laurence Fox was charged with allegedly sharing an intimate photo of her on social media. The controversial actor-turned-politician is said to have reposting an ‘upskirting’ image of the former Big Brother star online without her consent on his X account in April 2024.
Kaur, a presenter on Good Morning Britain, Talk TV and Jeremy Vine On 5, had described the experience as ‘unimaginably mortifying’ and made her feel ‘violated, humiliated and degraded’.
Fox – who didn’t take or create the original photo, which was taken without her knowledge or consent in 2009 – later apologised to the 52-year-old presenter and said it wasn’t his ‘fault’. He is due to appear in court in April.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said, ‘Laurence Fox, 46, will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 24 April charged with an offence contrary to section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003. The charge relates to an image that was posted on a social media platform in April 2024.’

Kaur rose to fame after appearing on Big Brother. Formerly a medical rep from Leicester, she joined the reality show’s second series in 2001 as their first ever British Indian contestant. She was third to be evicted and finished ninth on the programme, which was won by Brian Dowling.

According to the criminal charge, Fox allegedly re-posted an old ‘upskirting’ photo, taken of Kaur as she climbed out of a taxi in 2009, on X in April 2024. His post came seven months after the pair engaged in an on-screen spat about the late Queen Elizabeth II on GB News.
‘I think Charles could do better than his mum did, his mum left it in a bit of a mess,’ Kaur said. ‘The Queen failed as a monarch. She was a figurehead of colonialism, she never apologised. Charles can do better and I hope he does. I hope he apologises for the wrongs committed in the past.’
When she was interrupted by a horn, sounded by the show’s production team, Fox said, ‘I just want to take a pause to thank the technical team.’

Kaur and Dowling struck up a friendship after being in the Big Brother house together, but relations between the former BFFs became strained around 2018. In a series of tweets, she claimed that he tried to cut contact with her and her children after nearly two decades of friendship, as he celebrated his 40th birthday in Las Vegas without her.
‘I’ve never lost a mate in my life. I’m loyal to the end. He isn’t,’ Kaur told followers. ‘He simply pulled away… He has hurt me but worse, my kids. He entered their life and is their godfather and hasn’t seen them in over a year.’
She added, ‘There was a big row. I sent a v angry text. He can’t and won’t forgive it. Yet I was prepared and do forgive all his wrongs. All v v stupid silly stuff tbh. But he didn’t need me anymore so it was his excuse out.’
Dowling’s rep said, ‘Brian and Narinder stopped being friends a long time ago due to a variety of reasons. Unfortunately Narinder can’t accept this. It’s always very sad when people feel the need to publicly air private disagreements.’
Kaur explained that the pair remain estranged, saying in 2022, ‘I don’t talk to Brian anymore. We had a big fallout. It’s too much to go into. But you know, friendships come, friendships go. It’s the way it is.’ She added, ‘I know people want us to make up but we won’t be making up. No.’
