Since Sean 'Diddy' Combs was arrested last September on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution, celebrities everywhere have been wiping their social medias of any mention of the star, or his infamous parties- and for good reason. Cassie Ventura, singer Dawn Richard, and escort Daniel Phillip have already taken the stand to expose what Diddy has allegedly been up to all these years, and it’s expected that there’s much more to come before the trial is over.
Fans who are keeping up to date with the trial are clamouring to know who was in Diddy’s inner circle and which celebrities we can expect to take the witness stand in the coming weeks, so it’s no wonder stars are desperate to distance themselves from the disgraced music mogul.
Among those removing any evidence of Diddy from their socials is Steve Harvey, the beloved host of Family Feud. Harvey isn’t the only one backtracking after publicly supporting Diddy- Usher and Megan Fox also deleted or modified their social media accounts amid Diddy’s controversy.
What did Steve Harvey tweet about Diddy?
It can be difficult discerning which reports are true, and which are false. Steve Harvey has allegedly been friends with Diddy for years, but with so many conspiracy theories on the internet it’s difficult to grasp just how close the pair were.
Last September, Steve deleted a tweet he made in 2017 in which he praised Combs. The tweet read, ‘My brother @Diddy is doing a world of good for these kids.’ While it’s unclear, this presumably referenced the $1 million Diddy donated in 2016 to Howard University to establish the Sean Combs Scholarship Fund which helped students who are unable to pay their tuition. A couple of months before Harvey deleted the tweet, the university revoked Diddy’s honorary doctorate, returned his $1 million donation and terminated his pledge agreement.
Did Diddy date Steve Harvey’s daughter?
Steve’s stepdaughter, Lori, was rumoured to have dated Diddy back in 2019 after the pair were spotted multiple times together- including a getaway to Italy along with her father. This was Diddy’s first rumoured relationship after splitting from Cassie Ventura nine months previously. Lori was also linked with Diddy’s son, Justin Combs, but years later she got the chance to deny both of these rumours.
When asked back in 2023 what the ‘biggest misconception’ about her is, Lori replied, ‘There's been so many stories that have been made up about me. I've seen stories about me being fully in love with somebody, and we have this whole relationship, and I'll see the guy, and I'm like, “I've actually never even met him before.” I've heard I dated a father and son before. Absolutely not true.’
