Tim Westwood May Have Accidentally Give Out His Bankcard Details On Snapchat

Oh Westwood Westwood Westwood, what are you like.? Capital Xtra DJ Tim Westwood has made a Snapchat blunder and it’s either a publicity stunt to get some extra press, or it’s up there with stupidest blunder made by someone in the history of blunders.

Mr Westwood decided he wanted to treat his girl, so he decided to snapchat her a message, urging her to treat herself ahead of their next date. ‘Baby looking forward to taking you to dinner on Thursday. I appreciate you may wanna get nails, hair & a wax.’ We’re pausing this announcement to say erm, Westwood mate, never assume a girl ‘wants to get a wax,’ ahead of a date. If we want a wax, that’s our choice, ok? Clear. Cool. Moving back to the text: ‘Even some new shoes or a clutch bag. Use my card it’s black with private banking so there’s no limit (but don’t be buying a new car lol).’

Now, we assume Westwood meant to send this as a private message via Snapchat to his love interest, but he didn’t. No no, he sent it to every single person following him instead. Westwood then acknowledged his mistake on Instagram, but it was probably too late at this point and he probably has no money left in the world.

Now, don’t get us wrong – we’ve all been there. I myself have most definitely shared private bank details over Whatsapp, snapped a picture of my bank card and sent it via text and probably done more than my fair share of stupid banking woes. But did Westwood really send his girl his details via Snapchat? Firstly, who uses Snapchat to text? Why weren’t they conversing on WhatsApp? And secondly, it’s pretty hard to send what’s meant to be a private message, to every single person. Perhaps we all have too many tabs open at all times, Instagram, Snapchat, Instagram Stories, Facebook, Messenger etc – our brains are fried that we don’t even know what we’re doing on these platforms half the time, and Westwood’s the same.

Regardless of if this was a (silly) publicity stunt or not, if Westwood really did send his card details to the whole world, mate we feel for you. Maybe next time don’t use Snapchat to sort your love life, yeh?
