Can Someone Have A Word With Josh Denzel and Wes Nelson About How To Talk About Their Exes?

Breakups are never easy. And if your relationship played out in the Love Island villa and culminated in a public breakup, it’s bound to make matters even harder. Because when your ex is a public figure, getting some much needed distance from a former flame isn’t as simple as unfollowing them on Instagram and blocking their number.

Enter Love Island 2018 contestants Wes Nelson and Josh Denzel, who both made it to the show’s finale last year and left Majorca with their respective partners, Megan Barton-Hansonand Kaz Crossley. And while both couples tried to make it work on the outside, it wasn’t meant to be, with Denzel and Crossley and Nelson and Barton-Hanson both parting ways earlier this year.

There’s no denying that breakups are difficult to navigate. But whether your relationship was forged around a fire pit and narrated by Iain Stirling for eight long, hot weeks or sparked with a single swipe on a dating app, it should go without saying that while there might be no love lost between you and and an ex, you should always treat them with respect.

Which is why it’s been so troubling to see how Nelson and Denzel have allegedly treated their exes over the last week.

While Crossley has been recoupled with 2017 Islander Theo Campbell - who was this week blinded in one eye following a freak accident in Ibiza - for some time now, she took to Instagram yesterday to call out her exfor allegedly joking about Campbell’s injuries on Twitter in a now deleted Tweet.

While conducting a Q&A from James' hospital bed, Crossley told her fans that the behaviour "sounds about right" but that Theo "couldn't care less about Josh's indirects as we have now lost count".

Meanwhile Wes Nelson has recently found love with this year’s contestant Arabella Chi, sharing a loved up snap of the pair on his Instagram. With a fan commenting that Megan would be “punching the wall” over the photo, Wes respondedwith a series of laughing face emojis.
