This Weird Internet Theory That Louis Tomlinson’s Baby Isn’t Real Is Blowing Our Minds

We don't even know what's real anymore

Louis Tomlinson Babygate

Louis Tomlinson's baby Freddie was born in January 2016. But his dedicated fans have come up with a theory called ‘Babygate’ that ‘proves’ the baby is actually, a fake. Apparently the whole thing was a ploy to distract the world from Larry Stylinson... and I'm not going to even go there. Anyway Buzzfeed brought it to our attention, and we felt compelled to try and unpick the whole thing.

May 2015

If you direct your attention to this Tumblr titled ‘Babygate timeline’, in May 12th last year a Twitter account for Briana (the mum of Louis ‘baby’) was set up before Louis and Briana had even met yet. The fans think it was done by Louis management, especially because two days after on the 14th the couple were pictured together for the very first time leaving a club in the Sun.

**June 2015 **

Then, one month later on the 27th Louis threw a toy doll off the stage during a One Direction Concert shouting: “It’s not real!!” It’s all a bit weird, isn’t it?

**July 2015 **

Exactly TWO months on the 14th, after they were plastered on the front page of The Sun following that appearance, the pregnancy was announced. Fishy.

August 2015

On the 4th of August, Louis (along with the rest of 1D) appeared on* Good Morning America*, where he was asked about fatherhood. The rest of the boys stayed suspiciously quiet during this part, looking pretty grumpy and not at all excited for him. SUSPICIOUS.

November 2015

Ann Marie, head of Syco PR gave birth to twins in LA. Louis is also there and his hair is exactly the same length as it is in the picture he posts on Instagram of him and his new baby later. Keep this in mind, it will make sense later – kinda.

December 2015

Louis and his new girlfriend Danielle Campbell hang out, blah blah. This is happening just weeks before Briana is due to give birth

**January 2015 **

Freddie Reign Tomlinson is born on the 21st, so Louis goes and buys some sunglasses…as you do. He’s also wearing his hospital band, and the paparazzi just happen to be there at the exact same time. Casj. None of the 1D boys congratulate him on Twitter (not that weird, maybe they did it in person), his sister Lottie doesn’t either and is actually on holiday instead even though the two are super close. The plot thickens.

Louis tweeted about the birth, and fans quickly picked up on the fact that he normally leaves a space between the end of a word and an exclamation mark. This time, however, he didn’t. So did he even write the tweet? Is anything even real anymore. We’re lost.

People also inspected Briana’s Instagram picture with Freddie. She captioned it: “1/21/2016 Freddie Reign. Love of my life.” But Louis annoucement was made on the 23rd of January and it claimed Freddie arrived ‘yesterday.’ WHEN WAS THIS BABY BORN.

Fans didn’t stop there, claiming that an image Briana posted before the birth in the hospital was actually the same image posted on a unrelated lifestyle blogger, ‘Amberfillerup' account waaaaay before Freddie came into the world. They do look very similar.

Basically, we have no clue what’s going on. Literally no clue whatsoever. Fans even went as far as Photoshopping pictures to prove that Louis isn’t even holding his own baby in the first place, and to say that e’s actually holding that PR lady, Ann’s baby. Either way, we don’t know what’s real anymore.

This isn’t the first time there’s been some weird fan theories about Louis and baby. We can't think about it anymore though, it's time to go get a burito. BRB
