She didn't even seem angry. Just really, really over it.

Piers Morgan’s interview techniques on his US-based television show have been the subject of a serious battering from Chelsea Handler. It was pretty painful to watch, but naturally we endured it in the name of reporting.

The chat show host and stand-up comic appeared on Piers Morgan Live while in New York for a stand-up performance, and she didn’t hold back her disdain for the host. She didn’t even seem angry. Just bored.

The beef began when she described being on his show as ‘tolerating nonsense’ to which he responded that the interview was designed to ‘flog her tawdry book’ Uganda Be Kidding Me. It was all downhill from there:

PM: You tweet. Very amusingly.

CH: I wish you did.

PM: [Guffaws]

CH: I mean, in the middle of the commercial break… I want your viewers to know… I mean, they must know, because they’re probably following you on Twitter. I mean you, can’t even pay attention for 60 seconds. You’re a terrible interviewer.

PM: Well you just weren't keeping my attention. It’s more an issue with you than with me.

CH: That's not my problem.

PM: That is your problem!

CH: This is your show. You have to pay attention to the guests that you invited on your show.

PM: If they're interesting enough!

CH: Yeah, listen. It doesn’t matter how interesting I am. You signed up for this job.

PM: Of course it does!

CH: Well, maybe that's why your job is coming to an end.

PM: [Laughing somewhat awkwardly] Woooow.

CH: Wow.

CNN cancelled Morgan’s show a few weeks ago after just three years on the air, due to poor ratings. No date has been announced yet for the final show. In the meantime, though, check out the awkwardness below:
