Nineties supermodel and cut-throat judge behind cult TV show America’s Next Top Model Tyra Banks has revealed that she’s set to add another achievement to her already impressive CV.
Having ventured into film, TV and the world of business (she’s the chief executive of TYRA Beauty), she’s now turned her hand to teaching. And she's not the first celebrity to do so, following suit after Angelina Jolie’s latest foray into the academic sphere as a lecturer at the London School of Economics.
The former Victoria’s Secret model has announced that she will become a professor at Stanford University next year, co-teaching a class on Personal Branding. Could she choose anything more perfect? And having built such a successful empire herself, she’s undoubtedly the best for the job.
Tyra was scouted for the role by Allison Kluger, a former producer for Good Morning America, after she heard the ex-supermodel speak at a recent Stanford event on entrepreneurship. Kluger told Wall Street Journal, ‘I was mesmerised, she’s a natural.’
But Tyra is notorious for her no sh** attitude so don’t assume that having a supermodel as your lecturer will be all plain sailing.
It's clear that Tyra won’t be taking lightly to nonchalant students as she admitted to Wall Street Journal, ‘If I see somebody not paying attention, I’m gonna call on them.’ You’ve been warned people. And that means no phones allowed, well, that is unless as Tyra states, you ‘Tweet something I’ve said’. Because Tyra knows best.
But all we really want to know is, will we finally learn the art of smizing?
