We were pretty surprised when Mary-Kate Olsen, 27, announced her engagement to Olivier Sarkozy, 47, two weeks ago. (Yes, the guy who works in finance who is also Nicolas Sarkozy's half brother and is basically as tall as the French ex-President is short.)
However, prepare for another shock, now that news emerges her and twin Ashley's younger sister, Elizabeth, is also engaged. The actress, 25, was proposed to by 32-year-old actor Boyd Holbrook, and she said yes. They've been dating for two years. 'They've been by each other for a while, taking a lot of couple time,' a friendly source told Us Weekly.
Aw. So who is this Boyd guy? He's been in Behind The Candleabra and he's set to play a small but influential role in the movie adaptation of sexy crime thriller, Gone Girl. The pair met while on the set of Very Good Girls, which co-starred Demi Moore and Dakota Fanning.
Now…for that pesky matter of a double wedding. Normally, the father-of-the-brides might be a bit freaked out by news that he's got to shell out for not one, but two weddings. But given, Mary-Kate, who shares a net worth of $300m (£180m) with sister Ashley, might be able to fork out for the wedding herself we think all's ok in the Olsen wedding world. And Olivier bought her a $81k (£49k) Cartier engagement ring, which indicates that he's not exactly short of money.
Which means two bling weddings - and two Olsen wedding dresses - for the world to dreamily speculate over for the next few months. Onwards...
