On Too Hot To Handle, some of the contestants might look a bit familiar. There’s Harry of E4’s The Sex Clinic.
But it's definitely Matthew - aka ‘Jesus’ - Smith who has the most interesting CV. Prior to going on the Netflix dating show, Matthew appeared on America’s Next Top Model, fighting to win a modelling contract with Next Model Management and a photo spread in Nylon magazine. And you probably wouldn't recognise him. As back in 2014, he looked very different from the chilled-out hippie look he’s now famous for.
On the show, which was filmed when he was 24, he was thrilled to get style advice from host Tyra Banks. And he was also on the same series as Winnie Harlow. But, sadly for Matthew, he only finished 10th in the competition, as apparently he had a lack of facial expressions. He did take part in some interesting modelling shoots though, which you can see below.
A couple of years before that, he had a cameo in New Girl too - he played Gino, Cece’s modelling partner for a sexy photoshoot that leaves Schmidt jealous. As if it wasn't enough, a lot more recently, he played Jesus in short movie The Commissioning, which recently released a trailer.
No wonder he (spoiler alert) didn't feel the need to stay on Too Hot To Handle - he obviously has a busy schedule!
