It’s been reported that Tom Cruise has banned ex-wife Nicole Kidman from his son Connor's wedding. Connor - who is a Scientologist like his dad - is soon set to marry his Italian girlfriend Silvia, who has reportedly been given the nickname 'Scientology Princess'. Sources have also said that Tom is delighted his adopted son will be marrying into the religion.

“Tom is behind this and what he wants is as good as law,” a source told RadarOnline.com.“Tom made the call and Connor followed.” The insider went on to claim that Connor "worships the ground his father walks on”, meaning that he would never disobey him. Nicole and Tom married in 1990 and they adopted both Connor, 24, and Isabella, now 26. Following their split in 2001, the Mission Impossible star retained custody of their two children.

"First, Tom would never even consider inviting Nicole to Connor's wedding because she's considered a 'suppressive person' by the church — and, second, he doesn't want her there," the insider continued.

It’s believed that the Big Little Lies star blames the controversial religion for ruining her marriage and relationship with her two children. Nicole also missed Isabella's wedding to husband Max Parker in 2015. It comes after yesterday’s news that Isabella, in an email for Scientology London, urged other people to get involved in the religion and thanked her dad for 'everything.'

Tom Cruise first became involved with Scientology in 1990 through his first wife, Mimi Rogers. It was reported last year that he personally carried out brutal punishment beatings against fellow Scientologists, as claimed by ex-church member Leah Remini, and reported in The Sun.
