In our humble opinion, Zendaya is the coolest young actress in the world right now. And Timothée Chalamet is undoubtedly the coolest young actor in the world right now. So our brains sort of exploded when we discovered that they are hanging out.
Zendaya and Timothée were seen together in New York this weekend, shopping together. They weren't at some high-end boutique or beloved department store. Nope: they were at Bed, Bath & Beyond, an American shop that sells items for, you guessed it, bedrooms, bathrooms and... other rooms. A staff member couldn't resist asking Timothée for a selfie.
It's no surprise that they enjoy each other's company: both have experienced a huge rise to fame in recent years, at relatively young ages. This year saw Zendaya star in the latest Spiderman sequel, and take the lead in Netflix hit Euphoria. Timothée, meanwhile, received huge acclaim for his role of Laurie in Little Women, and also starred in historical drama The King. Besides their professions, they have style in common: both take an exciting approach to fashion, and have achieved some incredible looks in recent months. Remember Timothée's gorgeous, fuchsia Stella McCartney suit that he wore to a premiere in Paris in December? And we're not sure if we'll ever get over the Tom Ford crop top Zendaya chose for last month's Critics' Choice Awards. Did they purposely align on colour schemes?
As much as we would love to think that this means Zendaya and Timothée are an item, they appear to just be friends and co-stars. The pair feature in Dune, a remake of the classic sci-fi film, which is out later this year. We don't mind though: even if they're just friends, the idea of them walking the red carpets in matching, gender neutral couture is something that our fashion dreams are made of.
