Any new parent will tell you that sleep is hardly top of the agenda.
In fact, if you get more than four hours' snooze at a time in those early days of babyhood, you can count yourself lucky.
Which is why Tilda Swinton is savouring the sweet smell of revenge over her old-time pal and fellow actor, George Clooney.
Like George, Tilda is the parent to twins - 17-year-old Xavier and Honor.
And she can clearly remember how the ER star used to mock her about looking tired the whole time when her children were young.
"I have twins myself and [George] always used to laugh about me looking so tired when the twins were small, and now I have the last laugh," Tilda told reporters, at the New York premiere of her new film Okja (as reported by People).
"I’ve just laughed. I’ve laughed at him across the airwaves."
"It's great," Tilda added, of being a parent to twins, joking that "he [George] is going to need some sleeping pills".
The pair have worked together on three films; Michael Clayton (for which Tilda won an Oscar for best supporting actress), Burn After Reading and Hail, Caesar!
New parents George and Amal are officially on nappy duty after welcoming twins Ella and Alexander last week.
Amal’s mother Baria Alamuddin has been to visit the little ones at the family home in Sonning, Buckinghamshire.
"The babies are so beautiful... Amal is doing very well and they are extremely happy and overjoyed," Baria told Hello! magazine. "Everything went really smoothly with the birth. I’d like to thank the doctors and staff who looked after them. This is a very happy time in my life and I’m thrilled to be a grandmother again."
