North is now eight and, after just a few weeks on TikTok, is already making a name for herself. Last week, after a breathless tour of the Kardashian house (complete with a glimpse of the Kristmas tree, gingerbread houses and, somewhat inexplicably, themed decorations from the film Sing 2), North’s finest moment was bursting into her mum’s bedroom shrieking, ‘Mom! I’m live!’ Turns out Kim had taken to bed for a lie down and scroll in the middle of the day. Relatable!

As well as his modelling shots, pouty videos and some football bits, there’s a window into the Beckham residence thanks to their second-oldest child’s TikTok; some nice exposed brickwork, a few stained-glass panes here and there – but the true gift of his account is seeing an off-duty Victoria throwing some moves to Spice Up Your Life with Romeo in their cavernous (and very tasteful) kitchen.

Penelope’s account carries the disclaimer ‘account managed by an adult’ as she is, of course, nine years old, but she’s got the content creation genes of her parents (Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick). Her most recent video had her raiding the family bathroom, squeezing some body wash on to a shower puff, and opening under-sink cupboards that sadly weren’t on screen long enough to have a proper nosy. While those may hide away a multitude of sins/supplies of Cif, Penelope’s TikToks mostly feature big-ticket cosmetics that we can only dream of affording.

One of the highlights of the pandemic was Reese Witherspoon being an embarrassing mum, asking her 17-year-old son, ‘What is TikTok?’, showing off her moves and getting all Enthusiastic Parent listening to one of his songs. He may have no videos on his account right now, but it’s only a matter of time before Reese pops up on there.
