Two YouTubers have claimed they tricked Carole Baskin{
In the video, the pair detail how they lied to Big Cat Rescue's Carole by pretending to work for a production company called Invisible Object, who secured interviews for the show. Carole refused to do the interview twice - however, she agreed, on the condition that they wouldn’t discuss Tiger King on air. (The animal rights activist has been clear on her feelings about the smash Netflix series, calling it ‘salacious and sensational’ on Big Cat Rescue's website.) To conduct the interview over Zoom, they told her that she wouldn’t see Fallon - and they used old sound bites from Fallon to ask the questions.
In the interview, Carole revealed that it was her daughter Jamie who encouraged her to speak on The Tonight Show. And she also spoke about how she is looking after the cats during the coronavirus pandemic. ‘We are working every day with the cats at the sanctuary,’ she said. ‘My daughter and I still come into the sanctuary every day because we have to take care of all of the big cats here.’
‘Unfortunately, due to the loss of tourism revenue, we've had to let go of about half of our staff,’ she added. ‘Thankfully, all of our animal care is by volunteers, so the animals are still getting their daily care, but it means all of us are having to work double-time to make sure all of that happens.’
Baskin isn’t the first celebrity the pair have pranked, as they also fooled Love Island’s Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague into thinking they were being interviewed for James Corden’s late night show.
