You might have thought Jennifer Lawrence was having a great time at the Oscars last night – she was, btw – but nobody was having a better time than Tiffany Haddish. The Girls Trip star's dreams came true when, after telling everyone she hoped to meet Meryl Streep at the ceremony, SHE ACTUALLY MET MERYL STREEP. Wow.
Arriving at the 90th Annual Academy Awards in a traditional Eritrean gown, in honour of her late father who hailed from Eritrea, Africa, Tiffany told E! she was most looking forward to meeting Meryl Streep 'and asking her to be my mama'.
Fast-forward a few minutes, Meryl appeared on the red carpet, and Tiffany wasted no time in climbing over a velvet rope to reach her hero. True to her word, she could be heard telling Streep, 'You're gonna be my mama!' While curtsying in front of her, of course.
Then, just when you thought Tiffany couldn't get any cooler, she appeared on stage with Maya Rudolph to present. Both ladies had removed their heels, complaining about blisters forming and pinky toes falling off, and – if you were paying really close attention – you might have recognised Tiffany's dress from somewhere.

Having changed out of her red carpet look from earlier, Tiffany looked like a literal angel in a white Alexander McQueen dress, which she previously wore to the Girls Trip premiere *and *to host Saturday Night Live. "I feel like I should be able to wear what I want, when I want, however many times I want, as long as I Febreze it," Tiffany said on her second (public) wear of the $4000 gown. We love a girl who's true to her word. Now when can we see Tiffany pick up an Oscar of her very own?
