Pricing specialist Idealo have delved into the career histories of some of the contestants, listing who had been making the highest salary.
This year the islanders range from football players to estate agents and waitresses- so let’s see how their earnings rank amongst the other islanders.
Kaz Kamwi – Fashion blogger - £57,200
Essex girl Kaz is a fashion influencer and the overall highest earner this year.
The full-time fashion blogger entered the villa with 71,000 followers. According to Idealo, this already big following could have bought Kaz up to £1,100 per post. It is thought that one sponsored post per week could make her £57,200 a year.
She now has 480,000 followers, and as we’ve seen from previous years, this could be a likely avenue for her to return to.
Teddy Soares – Senior Financial Consultant - £42,000
As a senior financial consultant in Manchester, Teddy is likely to have been one of the highest earners out of the current islanders at £42,000 per year.
Jake Cornish – Water Engineer - £38,000
Next up is water engineer Jake. He could have been making around £38,000 per year in Weston-Super-Mare. His job involves clean water provision, disposal of sewage and flood damage prevention.
Chloe Burrows – Marketing Executive in Financial Services - £36,700
Marketing executive Chloe Burrows who works in financial services, could have been looking at an annual salary of £36,700. At just 25 Chloe is making an impressive salary already.
Tyler Cruickshank – Estate Agent - £29,000
According to Idealo, as an estate agent Tyler was taking home around £29,000 per year working in the property industry in Croydon.
Millie Court – Fashion Buyer Assistant - £26,000
One of this year’s favourites, Millie Court is a fashion grad and style Queen.
She is in her third year of working as a fashion buyer’s assistant at ASOS - it’s clear to see where her amazing taste in fashion comes from. According to Idealo, Millie could be taking home around £26,000 per year.
Faye Winter – Lettings Manager - £25,000
Fiery Faye works in property. As a lettings manager in Devon, Idealo reveal Faye is likely to have been earning around £25,000 a year. On top of her annual salary, she might take home extra earnings from commissions on the homes she sells.
Liam Reardon – Bricklayer - £22,800
Liam’s job is very hands on and requires a lot of hard work. He could have been earning around £22,800 per year as a bricklayer in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.
Toby Aromolaran – Semi-professional footballer - £18,000
In a surprising turn of events – Toby is now loved by Love Island fans. The beloved semi-pro footballer could be making around £18,000 per year playing for Hashtag United.
Liberty Poole – Nando’s Waitress and Marketing student - £18,000
Finally, fan favourite Liberty works in Nando’s as a waitress and is also a Marketing student. Liberty could be making £331 a week if working full time, taking home around £18,000 per year with tips.
Toby and Liberty are the lowest rankings in this year’s earnings – but as the youngest contestants this is expected.
