If there's one thing we've been seriously missing from our screens, it's our annual dose of Love Island. Obviously, due to the pandemic, the summer series was scrapped - meaning we have been left waiting for an exciting dating TV show to fill the hole in our lives. Luckily, ITV might have the answer, as new show The Cabins is just about to start. And it looks like it has all the drama of the villa. Here's what we know so far...
What is The Cabins all about, then?
We can see why this show has been dubbed 'Winter Love Island' by reality TV fans as the couples have to stay in very cosy looking log cabins (yes, hence the name of the show). The premise of the show is that six singles will pair up, but, after 24 hours, they can choose to spend more time together or 'Check out' and leave one of three cabins they have been placed in.
The show has already been pre-recorded, with ITV adhering to strict coronavirus restrictions and all of the contestants isolating beforehand.
Where is The Cabins filmed?
ITV have kept pretty quiet about this, only revealing that the series has been filmed in the UK. However, those in the know think the cabins - complete with hot tubs and fires - might be located at the the Hidden River Cabins in Cumbria, which is near to the Lake District.
