Remember that job or internship that you took to get a foot in the door? (hey fetching 13 sandwiches from different supermarkets in one afternoon).

It might make you look back and cringe now; but at the time you were young, you were starting out and it seemed like a good idea. And just because the Meghan Markle is now a Duchess of a medium-sized country doesn't make her any different. Of course some might remember that before Meghan was a member or the Royal family or the switched-on paralegal Rachel Zane in Suits, she was just a lowly actress trying to make it in the 'biz. Enter: The Boys and Girls Guide To Getting Down A televised series that aired for one episode in 2011 because, plainly put - it was awful.

Sorry Meghan, we love your tonal dressing we really do; but on reviewing the pilot episode of The Boys And Girls Guide To Getting Down we can officially confirm that it is the exactly the naughties, direly un-woke guide to getting frat boy 'laid'-fest that it sounds like on the tin.

The decision to air the entire series on American television 8 years since it was axed is most definitely not to do with it's calibre as a production. But nonetheless, as a throwback to Meghan Markle's former acting career, we're obviously curious to know all about it and we're betting you are too so here's what we've managed to dig up...

Who Does Meghan Markle Play?

Brace yourself for some boob-cupping, substance-snorting, grimy-club going realness that lets face it, we were fully on board with in our naughties TV choices (was there a single episode of Gossip Girl or 90210 that went by without at least one teen character being locked in the grips of a drugs crises?).

Meghan's character Dana is a twenty-something who initially appears in a scene where she's seen getting ready for a night out and asking a friend ‘what do you think? Too slutty?’. Later on in the episode her character says 'I dress this way for me. I’m not looking for a guy tonight. Trust me.’ she's then seen cupping her boobs critically in a mirror while the narrator comments that 'she's considering buying a pair for herself' and snorting cocaine.

Basically, the only insight we have from that is that Meghan's character is a possibly conflicted young woman who hasn't yet got her head around the connection between calling clothes slutty and slut-shaming (which...you know. It was 2011 but still).

What Is The Plot Of The Boys And Girls Guide To Getting Down?

The series follows a group of twenty-somethings partying over a single night in LA whilst learning how to 'get down' meaning to party, score drugs, or find a willing sexual partner. And in one scene, a group of the protagonist males rate some girls in a club based on 'slut-factor'. Classy.

Who Else Stars In It?

The TV film actually stars some faces you may already be familiar with including Max Greenfield (who played Schmidt in New Girl) Michael Masini, Adam Pally (who also appeared in The Mindy Project as Peter Prentice and Iron Man 3), Eva Marcille and Matt Winston (Scrubs, Two Broke Girls)

Can I Watch The Boys And Girls Guide To Getting Down In The UK?

Probably not, sadly - unless you can find a way to stream it from the US.

When Will The Boys And Girls Guide To Getting Down Be On TV?

There's no confirmed date yet but Artist Rights Distribution have confirmed it will be this year. Until then, we'll just have to satisfy ourselves with some seriously nostalgic Suits re-run sessions....
