Adele’s lyrics can speak to the heart, can’t they? That’s why texting the words to Hello to your ex is definitely a lols idea. Because, well, even if you don’t like that ex that much at all, you can hide your emotions behind the fact it’s a joke (maybe it’s not, don’t tell them that) plus, they could very well fall for the joke. The lyrics are just that relatable!
Mary Calderella screengrabbed the conversation and tweeted it along with the comment: ‘When the ex falls for Adele lyrics.’
Her ex was baffled, saying things like: ‘I’m the one who should be sorry…and you are the one who is perfectly fine now.’
After testing the waters with: ‘I feel like you’ll really regret saying this when you’re sober,’ the ex jumped in with the suggestive, ‘You miss me??’
But Mary was way too busy texting stuff like ‘At least I can say that I’ve tried’ and other fantastic bon mots from Adele’s newest song to actually care.
But, well, sucks to be her ex. Not only does he seem to be having a rough time of it compared to Mary, but he hasn’t even enjoyed the new Adele song yet! That, or he’s a little stupid to work out those are lyrics not actual platitudes from his ex…
