It might all seem scrubbing-brushes and heavy stones to you, but Curling is a sport and it's a sport that us Brits are apparently always expected to do well at every time the Winter Games slides around. So it's no surprise, then, that the women's curling team came third in the games, winning a bronze for their efforts.
Claire Hamilton, Vicki Adams, Eve Muirhead and Anna Sloan won against Switzerland in the play-off, with Eve, who threw the last stone (threw? cast? slid?) saying the victory in Sochi as 'really special'
Though they had learned they wouldn't win gold after losing to Canada (who went on to win gold) in the semi-finals, they still pushed (again - slid?) through to win. 'The Olympic medal is the one we've been missing and to win it with three or four of my best friends is really special,' continued Eve.
This win over Switzerland means that Team GB have their biggest haul of Winter Games medals since 1924. Lizzy Yarnold got a gold in the skeleton, Jenny Jones a bronze in the snowboard slopestyle, and David Murdoch's male curling team are through to the finals of their event, which means at least a silver.
A crying Eve was glad that she didn't know about this tidbit before she competed: 'I'm glad I didn't know that before I played it,' she told The Guardian. 'All of Team GB are really a great bunch of guys. To hear it has made Team GB the most successful Olympics ever for us, it makes that stone probably stay with me forever.' Hopefully not, Eve. It's pretty heavy, that stone, and we doubt Russian officials will let you take it through customs.
