She has one of the most famous faces on the planet, but yesterday decided to keep it hidden from paparazziby walking backwards out of her house.
Leaving her home in West Hollywood, Tay was guided by her bodyguard to her car, and was heard giggling as she took tiny baby steps backwards to avoid the cameras. In the past, Taylor’s been quite candid about the dark side of fame, but refuses to dwell on it too much – despite reports that she had to up her security after the amount of death threats she received.
‘I like to be able to take a drive by myself. Haven’t done that in six years. They have to be in a car behind me,’ she told* American Esquire* in a recent interview. ‘Because just the sheer number of men we have in a file who have showed up at my house, showed up at my mom’s house, threatened to either kill me, kidnap me, or marry me.
‘This is the strange and sad part of my life that I try not to think about. I try to be lighthearted about it, because I don’t ever want to be scared. I don’t want to be walking down the street scared. And when I have security, I don’t have to be scared.’
If Taylor wants to get in her car without the paparazzi taking loads of pictures of her, then she should have the right to do that. May we suggest wearing a mask that looks exactly like herself? Or a mask of the Queen? Just so she doesn’t have to walk backwards and risk falling over in her heels.
She’s actually getting pretty good at fooling the paps though. On a recent holiday, when Tay and her mates spotted photographers, they decided to Instagram better ones so the paps wouldn’t make loads of money off their pictures. We love her.
