Taylor Swift has filed a lawsuit against radio DJ David Mueller whom she claims groped her backstage during a meet and greet, according to Radar Online, who have the court documents. The DJ had previously filed a lawsuit against Taylor for getting him fired.

David’s story goes that he was told to attend the meet and greet in June 2013. He brought his girlfriend, and said they both complimented Taylor, took photos and got autographs. According to the DJ, the interaction went OK and Taylor ‘remained pleasant as she bid them goodbye’.

Afterwards, he ran into a co-worker who said he’d grabbed Taylor’s arse during a photo op. But later people seemed to have gotten the co-worker confused for him, with Taylor’s bodyguard grabbing him and accusing him of inappropriately touching the singer.

However, Taylor remains firm that it wasn’t his co-worker – it was David who ‘improperly and inappropriately groped’ her during the photo.

According to the document: ‘In the course of his meet and greet with Ms Swift, Mueller intentionally reached under her skirt, and groped with his hand an intimate part of her body in an inappropriate manner, against her will, and without her permission. Mueller did not merely brush his hand against Ms Swift while posing for the photograph: he lifted her skirt and groped her.’

After this, Taylor then had to continue a several-hour concert for 13,000 fans, despite the fact she was shaken about being assaulted.

It goes on to state that Taylor’s aims in filing a counter-lawsuit ‘will demonstrate that Mueller alone was the perpetrator of the humiliating and wrongful conduct targeted against Ms Swift, and will serve as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts.

‘For this reason, any recovery obtained by Ms Swift will be donated to charitable organizations dedicated to protecting women from similar acts of sexual assault and personal disregard.’

The singer is suing for assault and battery. Watch this space for more updates as the case unfolds.
