Through the coronavirus pandemic{ =nofollow}, Taylor Swift has been helping her fans out by sending them donations to get through financial uncertainty. But now the singer has stepped in to help a Nashville record store too. It has been revealed that the superstar musician is paying the wages and healthcare for employees at Grimey's New & Preloved Music store, after her publicist got in touch with the store’s owner.

Doyle Davis told Rolling Stone he was 'amazed' by Taylor’s kind offer, saying he hoped it meant the store could reopen after the pandemic. The co-owner said the business would still need to apply for loans to pay their rent and other expenses, but that Taylor's help 'gives us a real shot at coming back on the other side of this.' Nashville means a lot to the star, as she moved there with her family when she was 13 so she could pursue her country music career.

'It's incredibly heartening and totally surreal that Taylor Swift has offered to help us out in such a significant way,’ one staff member, buyer Will Orman, told the magazine. ‘With so much uncertainty about what lies ahead, we're deeply grateful to be able to look forward to returning to the store and continuing to share music and connect with our community, thanks to Taylor's generous support.'

During the pandemic the singer has sent money to several of her most loyal fans, after reading about their struggles on Tumblr, a site she regularly uses. One fan, Samantha Jacobson, who had lost her job in hospitality said, ‘I was in shock. I was just speechless. I couldn't believe someone I had looked up to and love and respected for so long has reached out with such generosity.’
