OMG! Taylor Swift Has An Australian Doppelganger – And They Met!

Ever wondered if there’s someone who looks just like you, living on the opposite side of the world? Well, if Taylor Swift ever has, she can rest assured that now her doppelganger has been found, and best of all, she’s met her.

19-year-old Olivia Sturgiss from New South Wales in Australia looks so similar to the 25-year-old singer, she’s had to create a hashtag – #NoItsLiv - on Instagram, to indicate that the blonde in all her pictures is actually her – and not Taylor Swift.

‘I think it's just the facial structure. I've got small eyes and bigger lips like her,' Olivia told Daily Mail Australia. ‘Sometimes I won't wear make-up at all and still get told I look like her.’

‘I got my hair cut consciously like hers,’ she continued, ‘but everything else is just sort of coincidental.’

But it’s one thing to have a doppelganger, it’s another thing entirely to actually meet them. How did it all come about? Well…

Olivia was one of the fans chosen from the audience at Taylor’s concert in Melbourne to meet the star herself. Swift is currently in the city on the last leg of her 1989 tour and agreed to meet a select group of fans after her show as part of her ‘Loft 89’ meet-and-greet experience.

‘She was actually shorter than me,’ Olivia told the publication. ‘She said, ‘Oh my god you're so tall. Usually I'd be wearing heels but I've got a bad ankle’…

'I asked her how she did it and she said ‘months of touring’. She was like: ‘Yeh I have to limp off stage.'

Olivia’s friend, Kirsty Lee, revealed that Taylor had also said she was aware of Olivia via the blogging site, Tumblr. Kirsty quoted Taylor as saying: ‘‘I found you on Tumblr and remember saying: ‘wow, you look like me’.’

Kirsty continued, ‘And then Liv lost her mum earlier this year and she [Taylor] said she saw the Tumblr post and both of us were trying not to cry’.

Olivia had posted a picture of herself and her mother to Tumblr, announcing that her mother had been diagnosed with uterine cancer. That same week, Taylor announced her mother was also suffering from cancer.

‘The same week she [Taylor] announced her mum was diagnosed with cancer was the same week my mum was diagnosed with cancer so I think maybe it hit her close to home,' Olivia told Daily Mail Australia.

Sadly, Olivia’s mother died from the illness in October, but had promised her daughter she would make sure that one day she would meet Taylor Swift…

And now her mother’s wish has come true. If there was a better way to begin the holiday season for this brave young Taylor fan, we simply don’t know what it is.
