In this country Taylor Swift is more famous for her dating history than anything, right? We know a few of her songs, but mainly because the lyrics are about her former beaus, who make up a pretty eclectic list: Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Harry Styles, Conor Kennedy...
So when it was claimed that she has a list of requirements that any potential boyfriends must check, we got thinking about whether it’s a good thing to set yourself some rules ahead of dating? We suspect some of the most romantic matches in history would’ve never happened if either party had had such a list… Sandy and Danny, Miranda and Steve, Monica and Chandler, Baby and Johnny. Catch our drift? Isn’t it standard that you have your theoretical list, but end up throwing it out the window when you meet someone unexpectedly?
Whatever the case, according to HollywoodLife.com (via Celebitchy), Taylor has a huge list of ‘conditions’ that a guy needs to have before she’ll date him. We presume this is a new rule because the only requirement we can think of that matches all her exes is ‘famous and rich’.
The source says:
‘She’s all about finding a new boyfriend, but she doesn’t want just any guy, she wants the perfect guy. She’s made a really detailed list of what she wants and it’s so intense, there aren’t many guys out there that can live up to it.
‘She wants someone on her level when it comes to their career, plus, they have to be hot – like leading man hot. And she would love a guy that can speak at least two languages.
‘There are simple things on the list, too. She wants a guy that has at least one sister, because she thinks it will make him a better boyfriend. He has to have a good relationship with his parents, especially his mom, but he can’t be a mama’s boy. Like I said, it is very detailed and it goes on and on. Her friends think she needs to chill. They think being so picky is just going to keep her single.’
Erm, might it be good for her to be single for a while? Plus, more to the point, looking at her current rules, we can’t help but wonder if she should’ve let Jake Gyllenhaal get away? Just sayin’.
