Not that we're complaining, but there has been a lot of Taylor Swift news from the VMAs.
ICYMI, she opened the ceremony with You Need To Calm Down and Lover (the latter of which had its first public performance), won two VMAs - and then called out the White House for not responding to the Equality Act petition.
She also partially reunited her former #squad when she arrived to the Republic Records after-party with Bella and Gigi Hadid.
But perhaps the best moment of all was when John Travolta mistook drag queen Jade Jolie for Taylor while he was handing out the award for video of the year alongside Queen Latifah.
For many, it was the highlight of a star-studded night, with one viewer tweeting, ‘John Travolta giving Taylor Swift's award to Jade Jollie FULLY thinking that it was her is the best thing that happened all night #VMAs.’
‘I didn't watch the VMAs because I'm old. But that clip of John Travolta giving Video of the Year to Drag Queen Taylor Swift instead of actual Taylor Swift has made my night. If only Adele Dazeem were there,’ another added, referring to the 2014 Oscars when Travolta spectacularly mispronounced Frozen star Idina Menzel's name.
It's been an eventful night for all involved, that's for sure.
