Taylor Swift got an armful of Moon Man awards at August’s MTV Video Music awards. One of her four big wins was Video of the Year for the high-gloss revenge epic, Bad Blood, which starred a whole bunch of her mates. Or girl squad, as they’re otherwise known.
At the time of the awards, it was just Taylor – not even Kendrick Lamar, who featured on the track – who went up to accept her Moon Man prize. But now, a couple of months down the line, she’s been sent a whole slew of Moon Mans/Men to give to her BFF co-stars.
At a party she threw for them, Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss and Cindy Crawford collected their prizes, posing with them with Cindy’s daughter Kaia for a photo uploaded to Cindy’s Instagram. Also receiving the awards were Selena Gomez, Lily Aldridge – whose birthday it was – Gigi Hadid and Mariska Hargitay.
Mariska wasn’t actually there for the party itself, but beforehand, she got to meet Taylor’s ridiculously fluffy cat, who’s named Olivia Benson after Mariska’s character in Law and Order: SVU.
No awards show is an awards show without some outlandish behaviour, and this quota was filled by Olivia Benson the cat, who was ‘chewing on Olivia Benson’s moon man because she is disrespectful.’ Taylor noted in a caption on Instagram.
Now, if only we had an ability to get all of our best mates into a room at once without an infuriating eight-hour long WhatsApp chat! Maybe we need a Moon Man to bribe people into doing a huge big group hang?
