Taylor Swift has just started a world tour of her album 1989. She’s going to be away from home for months at a time, singing her heart and soul out for stadiums full of adoring, cheering fans. And she won’t get to see many of her mates along the way. That’s why it’s pretty sweet that all of her mates have spoken about how amazing she is, in a video to be screened at each of the gigs.

Featuring Cara Delevingne, Lena Dunham, Karlie Kloss, Haim and Selena Gomez all talking about how wonderful Taylor is, the iffy part is that it could come across as quite arrogant. But think carefully before judging – the video is only meant to be seen by die-hard Taylor Swift fans, or at least keen enough on her to watch one of her gigs.
And, besides, she’s successfully re-written the whole ‘Taylor Swift’s obsessed with boys’ narrative into one of female support and friendship, and we’re deeply into that. As well as the brilliant claims they’re all an ‘epic squad’, her house is like a ‘headquarters’ and she’s, apparently ‘the patron saint of cats’
