You know how Taylor Swift and her gigantic epic squad are going to take over the world very soon? Well, never fear, because she’s told NME she’s going to take a break from all the touring and singing and welcoming celebrity strangers to the stage.

‘I think I should take some time off. People might need a break from me,’ she said: ‘I’m going to hang out with friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don’t know.’

While she has a think about it, she can perhaps hang out with all of those mates she’s made over the 1989 tour and via all the rifts she’s been settling.

Even though: ‘I don’t want to talk about [the Nicki Minaj rift],’ she said. Taylor has a new tactic for handling fall-outs: ‘I send text messages now. If there seems to be some kind of misunderstanding, I go to someone’s management, I get their number and I text them. It’s an important lesson for anyone to learn in 2015.’

We wish we too could learn this lesson. If only we had the platform of an arena-full armed with cameraphones, where we could invite people we’ve fallen out with so they can kiss and make up with us and also promote whatever they want to promote at the same time, hey?

Maybe you can help build us one in your down-time, Taylor? Or maybe, on a really lowly level, we can take her advice and keep all our feuds to text instead of social media…?
