Taylor Swift Says She’s Cool With Friends Dating Her Exes: “We Don’t Hold That Against Each Other”

Taylor Swift's girl gang is solid. With some of Hollywood's most in-demand A-listers in her circle, Taylor and her crew seem to go the extra mile to spend time together, and now she's insisted that even dating the same guys doesn't get between her and her pals. "We even have girls in our group who have dated the same people," she tells Vanity Fair and it's ok people - she's totally cool with that.

She told the magazine: "It’s almost like the sisterhood has such a higher place on the list of priorities for us. We even have girls in our group who have dated the same people. It’s so much more important than some guy that it didn't work out with."

Among the A-list crowd who've joined Taylor on stage during her World Tour, attended her Instagrammable 4th of July party and appeared in her ultimate ode to female friendship: her superheroine themed Bad Blood video, are Lena Dunham, the Haim sisters, Karlie Kloss, Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid.

And the 24-year-old cites the girl's mutual experience of the media spotlight as a strong part of their bond: "When you’ve got this group of girls who need each other as much as we need each other, in this climate, when it’s so hard for women to be understood and portrayed the right way in the media ... now more than ever we need to be good and kind to each other and not judge each other.

"And just because you have the same taste in men, we don’t hold that against each other."

So it looks like her model pal Gigi - who's is currently rumoured to be dating Taylor's ex circa 2008, Joe Jonas - is safe from any scorn.

While she was thought to have written several scathing tracks about the split on her 2010 album Speak Now, Joe now hangs out regularly with Taylor and her friends. He was pictured with Gigi, Karlie Kloss, Taylor and boyfriend Calvin Harris enjoying boat trip down the River Thames in late June.

So, if you date one of Taylor's exes it looks like your place in her inner circle is safe, as are your chances of having a song penned after you. Phew.
