Taylor Swift – or maybe her diligent team of lawyers and ‘people’ – has bought the rights to several porn sites. Why? Well, from 1 June, people will be able to register websites with domains other than the normal .net, .com, .org, .co.uk suffixes. Her smart people decided to buy, then, TaylorSwift.adult and TaylorSwift.porn, reports The Mirror, because they’d just rather not have her name associated with any sort of pornographic material.
Taylor has previously spoken about nude photos. After her various social media accounts were hacked earlier this year, with the hacker using messages to threaten to release nudies of the star, she replied with this, on Twitter:
‘Any hackers saying they have “nudes”? Pssh, you’d love that wouldn’t you! Have fun photoshopping, ’cause you got nothing.’
Can you imagine all the shit Photoshopping of Taylor’s face onto very unlikely bodies that would have taken up all of TaylorSwift.porn and TaylorSwift.adult? The ridiculousness of the images alone would have surely been enough to put even the most lusty, clammy-palmed of Taylor’s admirers off, even if they don't care about the ethics of digitally stitching someone's head onto another person’s naked body for sexual gratification.
As for what will actually ‘live’ on the sites that Taylor’s bought is still unknown. They could totally be set up to redirect eager seekers of Taylor’s nakedness to buying her actual album, but something tells us that might not seem like a valuable source of income.
Maybe each site could contain a screen-size GIF of Taylor giving the middle finger?
