It’s tough being in a celebrity relationship. It can’t ever just be business as usual – mainly because that would be really boring for all us lot. Instead, you have to be either splitting up or getting married and pregnant. There's nothing in between. Especially if you’re a twenty-something girl dating a more famous older man.
Yep, less than three weeks after they enjoyed the world’s hottest date at the Oscars, it’s been reported that 39-year-old Bradley Cooper has been dumped by Suki Waterhouse, because he’s a bit old and she’s not ready to settle down. Apparently, the novelty of the A-list life is wearing off because she’s 22 and should be rolling out of clubs with the crew back in London.
However, a conflicting report claims Suki’s actually waiting for Bradley’s proposal because they’re stronger than ever. Hmmm, who to believe? Let's look at the evidence…
According to Star magazine (via Celebitchy), Brad is heartbroken after Suki realised that she is too young for him.
‘“Bradley wants to settle down and start a family,” a source said, who added that Suki would rather let loose and focus on her blossoming career. Apparently she made her decision very clear when she was seen partying with Cara Delevingne (Brad is sober). “Suki is keeping her distance,” says the source. “She thought it was better to end things now rather than let them drag on.’
Meanwhile, according to OK (via Classicalite), Suki is aware that Bradley wants to marry her and she’s cool with it.
‘“Suki is the first woman to come along whom Bradley can really picture a future,” another source said. “He plans to start trying for a baby before they even marry! His goal is to be a father by the time his 40th birthday rolls around, next January.”’
Erm, let's do the maths… Doesn’t that mean she has to be pregnant by the end of the month? Yikes. The Star magazine story makes a bit more sense, if it is true.
We don’t want to jump on the bandwagon and assume that a big age gap always results in doom, though. We’ll go with our own far less attention-grabbing story and speculate that they’re actually just sat on the sofa watching some telly and being a bit normal for a while. Probably with J-Law wedged between them. Who’d leave that for a party with Cara and Rita?
