Because, as we look at the ascendancy of the younger stars of the show, it's good to remember what Hollywood can have in store for its brightest stars. Two years after Girl, Interrupted was released, Winona was caught shoplifting and the subsequent legal fall-out meant she couldn't get insured to appear on films, causing her to go on a four year hiatus. If you take a look around at what Hollywood was allowing some of its biggest players to get away with during this time, though, it really is quite galling.
